School of Arts and Culture 2012 -2013 Request for Proposals

PRIORITY DEADLINE: September 11 at 5 pm [Fall classes] STANDARD DEADLINE: November 9 at 5 pm [Winter and Spring classes] ATTENTION TEACHING ARTISTS! The School of Arts & Culture seeks course proposals from teaching artists who share our commitment to community, learning and development of youth through fostering their creativity through the arts. SAC focuses on Mexican and Latino cultural root forms while maintaining a multicultural perspective that values intercultural exchange. If you are a teaching artist who cares passionately about making a rich and meaningful contribution to our vibrant community, we invite your submission.

NEW THIS YEAR: We are encouraging proposals for preschool level classes in visual and performing arts targeting ages 4-5 as well as classes serving children as young as 18 mos. Together with their parents and families. These classes will serve as prototypes for the development of a preschool age summer camp in 2013. We also strongly encourage sequential course offerings that build skill and mastery over the course of 6 months to a year.
