Giants Win The World Series, People Get "Cray"
Last night the Giants won the World Series and Downtown San Francisco went "cray". I'd like to think they're two separate things but coaxing is easier when its built in your pride as a San Francisco representer. Black and orange filled the streets, buses went on fire, a truck flipped over was teared to pieces, downtown was shut down, even the police in our neighborhood kept their car horns blowing. A time for celebration for the city's baseball team turned into a night of drunken destruction downtown.
Talking to a friend on the phone, she asked "What would of happened if The Giants lost?, would people do the opposite and start hugging eachother?". Drunk people entertained the sober ones. A bus trying to pass was stopped by a crowd who played with the blockades, three little kids on the bus watched the crowd from inside with their Giants hats on. I went to go ask them to let the bus pass because the kids on the bus and they were cool and compliant. I'm all for celebrating your favorite team winning, congrats to The Giants. But when the babies get scared on the bus trying to go home I just got to say, calm your "cray" down for the baby Giant fans. They want to celebrate too.
