SB 1421 Allows for Transparency for Police Records on Serious & Deadly Use of Force Incidents

SB 1421 has been carried by the spirit of loved ones lost at the hands of police. Families from the South Bay speak about their lives since their loss and shine a light on the urgent need for the right to police records on serious and deadly force incidents.

Families from the South Bay who have lost loved ones to police violence speak publicly about their lives since their loss and their struggle to find answers. SB 1421 is part of their fight to bring justice for their loved ones. SB 1421 would restore the public’s right to know when police plant evidence, commit sexual assault or use deadly force.
